God You Amaze Me
I have been quite caught up in the world of good grades, money and general world things that I sometimes find the world is a sad place created by someone who really did not assume the worst of his finest creations: Humans.
After a bit of reflection and a lot of arguments with a lot of people, I realised God already knew Humans were a tad on the screwed up side. God lets things happen, Satan/Devil/Random evil and invisible Tempter whispers evil things; Humans make them happen. How interesting that our decisions determine what happens to us more than anything Satan/God/Fate/Fluke can do.
This week has been one of great joy and reflection. I have been quite blessed by the things of God and the people of God. Take my Food Tech quiz for example, I did not really study all that hard for it, but on the day of the test, God sent a few Sibs in Christ to come revise with me. Learnt a lot.
The test was good, I managed to do it though I missed a few questions due to bad memory.
God has helped me a lot in terms of FYP too. I have a great supervisor and 2 very funny FYP lab mates. Thank God for them.
Even my EMS test was good. Although I didnt study finish for the test, God made it such that whatever I learnt came out and He guided me the rest of the way.
God sometimes you amaze me!

I find it hilarious that UEFA and FIFA have decided to act on Chelsea's inducement on a certain Gael. The above sentence would sound complete like a 3 way fight over a girl if it wasnt that UEFA and FIFA are the governing bodies of soccer and Chelsea is a soccer team which is accused to inducing Gael Kakuta to breach his contract. Inducing? Its that something to do with vomiting. Well, after hearing this news, that was what I thought of doing.
First of all, what did the player do to breach his contract with Lens and what does it have to do with Chelsea? If a player decides to change club or request a trasnfer, it is legal isnt it? What breach is it? From what I read, its inciting the player to break his contract and sign for Chelsea. Since when is breaking a contract so illegal that you are banned for 4 months and the next company you signed for gets a hiring ban? If any of us chooses to break contract in the working world, we pay out the penalties and go work for someone else. Do you hear of any big company getting banned from hiring new employees because they hired a contract breaker?
Secondly, I think this incident is quite back dated because I seen Kakuta at Chelsea for 2 seasons. That means Lens had him on a provisional contract when he was 16? I thought you cant sign a player till he is 17? So what contract breach is this?
Thirdly, who is Gael Kakuta beyond the fact that he is French and is considered, by some weird reason, a Chelsea home-grown player? He seems to be a decent, upcoming wing player. It seems the above facts have prompted Lens to let jealousy and selfishness hurt their logic. If Kakuta was not going to be an upcoming player, I think Lens would have let things slide.
For those who think I wont be doing this if it hit Man U, Pool or Arsenal, you are right. But still I would be thinking, what matter of stupidity is this? Since when is the football/soccer world so different from the real world, that a breach of contract by an individual whose job scope is small have such a big impact on another comopany.
Come on! If you want to ban teams for influencing players to breach contracts, you can start with Real Madrid and then Man City after that all the other teams which buy players from other clubs.

Transfers and Comments
The past week has been filled by transfer speculations and tapping ups by Man City and Real Madrid. My only comment about this tapping up is stop it. I know Pool, Man U, Chelsea and many others did it. Most of the time it pisses people off and you do not get the player you want.
Madrid's tapping up of Alonso is kind of an act of desperation rather than football sense. They spent 200 million pounds on players they can win the league without if they spent 40 million pounds on Albiol and Alonso. Pool are not going to lower the price and Alonso is under pressure to justify leaving a club where he won the Champions League to go to a club which will struggle to reach the quarter finals. Also I think Liverpool will win at least the league this season. Chelsea are in turmoil and rebuilding. Arsenal are broke and selling their experienced players to Man City and Man U are rebuilding their jigsaw. All if Alonso does not leave of course. Tough choice I guess. Better pay, "more respect", club with a great history in your own home country (That is like Notts Forest, great history but eh....), confirmed first team place, challenging a strengthened incumbent team versus same pay, "less respect", club with a great history in England, potential winners of the league since all the competition are weakened, will be rotated to ensure maximum performance. Greed anyone?
Man City's tapping of Terry is the one which I think is completely batty and malicious. Terry is the captain of Chelsea, the entire team was built around him to cover his mistakes and ensure the defence is tight. His departure will reduce his stature in the eyes of Chelsea and England because what can be more insulting than to go to a club with cannot offer anything solid except money. I admit Man City might well overtake Arsenal in the Big Four but it is miles away from Man U and even more so Chelsea and Liverpool. (I dun mean literal distance) There are so many other cheaper and more mobile centrebacks than John Terry like Lescott, Toure, Maicon, Carvalho, Wes Brown, Gibbs and many more. The only thing that this tapping up of Terry does is to try to tear Chelsea from within. Cause pay envy and cost the club additional money to prevent, someone who already earns too much for his own good, from leaving. I do not buy the pay rise thing because when you earn 600k per month and 300k pounds per month after tax, you are earning way too much. 3.6 million pounds a year anyone? What they need the extra 20k per week for? Feeding their entire family tree? Saving the Amazon rainforest from loggers? No. Buying cars they cannot control, eating meals which are neither filling nor nutritious and splurging on fancy clothes they wear to punch the local club DJ in.
I feel Man City should offer 10 million plus Micah/Nedhum for Carvalho. I hear he is better than Terry. Or they can offer Arsenal 15 million for Toure. Toure would jump at the chance to finally challenge for some trophy in his career.
I will give Ancelotti till December before I decide if he is incompetent or not. Scolari took 3 months to prove his incompetence. A.Grant a year. Mourinho was never incompetent though out of his league.

Long time since I posted.
Much has passed. Matric camp was a very fun camp. Got burnt and tired. God really sustained me through the camp so that I could support Edmund and Xinyi in leading the OG.
The OG really showed me how much I would enjoy faculty and club orientation camps if they were not so filled with poly-ticks and SDUs. Gen-Acts Club though small and run by volunteers with nothing to gain besides experience and friends has gotten it right. Orientation camps should be about making friends and contacts rather than finding that ONE or filling resumes.
I guess I am very naive about the real world but hey a guy can dream, no?
In Soccer news, I feel Man City is the Real Madrid of England. They have a UCL-class attacking force but a Championship-class defence. Sounds very Newcastle to me. Only that Newcastle had proper transition from being normal to being title contenders. Shay Given will feel right at home.
Chelsea should never let Terry go because they need someone who is a home-grown player to lead the team. Pool and Man U both have such players. City might one day challenge Man U for the EPL but that season will be long after Terry's generation. I pray that for the sake of John Terry and England, City go bug some other team for their centrebacks. Maicon is not bad. So are Pepe and Steve Taylor. Why buy an aging player who is useless to anyone but Chelsea.
Chelsea Terry: Captain, heart of the team, hero
Man City Terry: 2nd Choice CB, Mistake-ridden CB and hated
Having 10 strikers wins you not the EPL unless they are RVN,Henry,Rooney, Tevez, Torres, Eto'o, Messi, C.Ronaldo, Anelka and Arshavin. And even with these ten great goal scorers, you still need a destroyer and 4 good defenders.
Chelsea seem to have a trouble with having depth in the right places. They have nothing on the wings beyond Malouda, Zhukov and Joe Cole. Anelka? Kalou? Di Santo?
I predict the way Chelsea and Arsenal are going, this season will be Liverpool's to lose. Man U.... I think will be out for this season trying to meld in the new talent and purge the ghost of the Ronaldo.

For those who hate Chelsea so much,
I have a few things to say to you. Chelsea is not the most attractive side in the EPL. So What? Look where Newcastle is? You need to be effective not fancy. Under Guus Hiddink, Chelsea are playing nicer football. Same for Scolari, unfortunately, Scolari was shit which gave Pool the chance to be second. I am happy for Pool. They had a great season. The only reason why they were 2nd and not first was because they had problems with breaking lower teams.
Chelsea bought success. Well, if you support Arsenal then I have nothing to say to you. Its painful to watch a former champion playing like every game is a youth game or friendly. For the Man U and ABC people, you dun spend money you cant win trophies. Berbatov is 30 million. He is hardly worth it. The Shevchenko of Man U. Rooney wasnt cheap. Tevez is 32 million but Fergie the cheapskate isnt gonna pay for it. Shows how Man U treats its loyal players. Keeping Winker Ron. So what? Chelsea has had its own fair share. The thing is Man U is as bad if not worse in spending money.
Chelsea players dive. And which team's players dun? Arsenal? Nope, they do. Man U? ARE YOU JOKING? Pool? Of course they do. Bullyboys? I am sorry Adebayor and Rooney cannot knock people off the ball to get a goal. Its a style of play. Its like saying Man U are a bully team because they dun win just by 1-0. Its the way they play.
I am so annoyed by the level of the average ABC fan. I feel I should just let the FA CUP result speak for itself. Everton are a good team. Chelsea will have a tough game. They might get 1-0 or maybe 2-0. Hard to say given Chelsea have yet to beat Everton this season. Then again, this is the same team that lost 3-1 to Man City at Goodison and had to battle for 120 mins and penalties to beat Man U's kiddie team. Its not about form in this game. Its about heart and belief. This is what Chelsea need to win. They found it under Hiddink. GAME ON!

Thoughts after Restructuring.
After all the hype, the excitement and fear. The actual process was extremely quick and rather painless. Kinda like a vaccination. The shock of the needle going in stuns you long enough to not realise the process of injection. By the time you realise you got a needle in the arm, its over.
Where to I get such analogies? I cannot even think properly when I am normal. Sleepiness makes my brain work weird, Lolz....
The current care group is the same as my previous care group except for those who need to move on, moved and John no longer belongs to my care group but follows Crystal. I feel happy, sad and completely weird all at the same time. Haha!
Things of God got harder not because Edmund is my CL but because all my support people are going to better places (no, not Heaven just working or other CGs. I know God is constantly keeping me at the edge of my tolerances and burden bearing abilities. I like challenges more now because I enjoy fighting.
I pray that I will grow again in this new CG and support all in the group.

The day has come where we make a stand. We choose between logic and happy. I go for logic. I will study hard and let everything else slide.
I want to achieve something this semester. If that is not too much to ask.....
